wip_amnesty welcome, and intro!

This is our--third? Fourth year? EITHER WAY:

This is WiP Amnesty weekend! You have from now till Sunday evening to post all the stuff that's been lying around your harddrive, forgotten, abused, hated on, cried over or left alone. Has it made you huddle in a corner, making cross motions? Kick it to the curb! Do you still have some vestiges of deep love for it, enough to show it the light of day, but not enough to ever finish that sucker? Let it float away!

Your chest will feel lighter. People will beg you for more, possibly. You can laugh gently under your breath at them, because the point isn't that you want to write more, it's that you want it GONE. JUST GONE. GET OFF THE HARDDRIVE.

Vids are welcome along with stories/snippets/tattered remnants of fic this year. Let's clear off our harddrives! (If someone wants to do an art amnesty, they can feel free, but that's not really my arena for this particular community. *g*)

Posting:

Post your WiP/story snippet/what have you in your journal, and then COME HERE to wip_amnesty. This is the central archive so we can keep track. PLEASE head your posts like this: (makes it so much easier to find you in the archive feature.)

Story Title (if there is one), Author Name, Fandom. So, something like:

Fic that Would Not Write Itself by Madelyn, Supernatural

Please also tag your entries with the name of the fandom. If you're not sure what tag to use, I'll come around and edit your post with how I want the tag to read--it'll just make it much easier for everyone to find what they need.

Some semblance of closure can be yours! Go find those stories/vids, dust 'em off and post away! Oh, and do mention this community name in your post so people realize it's a community type thing, not just you throwing down the towel. *g*

Spread the word so that all your favorite authors/vidders might at least give you a sampling of something that almost was.
